E-AHPBA Travel Award

The E-AHPBA is pleased to propose a number of Travel Awards to young surgeons who have demonstrated major interest and excellence in HPB surgery. We have  provided Travel Awards to selected EHPBA members that attended the Consensus Conference on Liver Transplantation for HCC in Zurich 2010, as well as the bi‐annual meeting in Cape Town, South Africa, in April 2011. The next E-AHPBA Congress will take place in Belgrade, Serbia, 29th - 31st May 2013.

Those eligible for the E-AHPBA Travel Award for the the upcoming Meetings (10th E-APHBA Congress, Belgrade, Serbia – 2013 and the 3rd E-AHPBA Consensus Conference (TBA)) are the following:

• EHPBA members
• Surgeons‐in‐training of 35 years or younger
• Authors of already accepted oral/poster presentations (not applicable for the Consensus Conference)
• Those that have a letter of recommendation from their mentor

€500 will be granted for travel expenses and the registration fee to the Conference will be waived. The announcement of the Travel Awards will be during the meeting. Please note that the exact amount may change at any point.

The application for a Travel Award opens: 22 April 2013
The deadline for the travel award application is: 12 May 2013
